We drove to Idylwild today, which was a nice drive.  Didn’t really do anything when we got there, but the ride was beautiful.  David and I find the town a little too nuts and berries, if you know what I mean.  Idylwild is close to Palm Springs, if we were birds, but because we are not, we had to drive around and over the mountains, and it took a little over an hour.  The road up and over the mountain is quite winding, as you can see from the picture.  It also is interesting to see the climate change so dramatically from desert to forest in a matter of miles.  We didn’t see any, but there were signs warning of big horn sheep.  Anyway, it was a lovely break from day to day in Palm Springs.
