We are preparing for Sandy, well, as much as possible. The Jewish Home is at 150% of staff, and David is calm, aside from being worried about still coming home on Tuesday. I told him that I would plan on coming up with the car, and didn’t think that they would delay his release, but need to follow up tomorrow. Nothing really happening yet, just some wind and the streets seem eerily quiet. I was visiting with David until just before the subways closed, and went to higher ground (35th floor). But, before I left, I had to go out for something to eat for David, since he didn’t want to touch the tilapia that they served tonight. I went to the corner and got some cold noodles with sesame sauce – always a safe bet!
Tomorrow should be interesting. If feels a little like a repeat of Irene in Vermont, but let’s hope that it all turns out OK.
